Industrial Filter Presses for Your Process

Browse filter press equipment by filtration duty, construction and operating requirements. Open a product page for model specifications and configuration details.

These groups help you browse the range. Plate structure, pressure, materials and automation are separate choices and may overlap in one machine.

01 / Core configurations

Start with the Main Filtration Duty

Compare chamber and membrane filtration first. Evaluate a high-pressure configuration only where the material and rated equipment justify it.

02 / Discharge & automation

Plate Opening & Cake Discharge Options

These features can be combined with a suitable press design. The benefit depends on cake release behavior, the operating cycle and the required level of operator involvement.

Quick Opening Filter Press

Plate-opening arrangement

Quick Opening Filter Press

Review designs that open groups of plates to reduce the non-filtration part of the cycle. Actual time savings depend on the mechanism and cake behavior.

Check: Compare plate-opening sequence and access for maintenance.

Vibrating Filter Press

Assisted cake release

Vibrating Filter Press

Uses a vibration-assisted discharge arrangement on compatible equipment. Evaluate cake release with representative material before relying on unattended discharge.

Check: Confirm the vibration mechanism, cloth support and cleaning needs.

03 / Materials & sealing

Materials, Filter Media & Sealing

Match wetted parts, seals and construction to the actual chemistry, temperature and cleaning requirements. Stainless steel construction alone does not establish hygiene certification or universal corrosion resistance.

stainless steel filter press

Construction and wetted materials

Stainless Steel Filter Press

Explore stainless steel configurations where the selected grade, finish and cleaning arrangement suit the process. Verify exactly which parts contact the slurry.

Check: Specify grade, surface finish, seals and applicable documentation.

Plate and Frame Stainless Steel Filter Press

Separate plates and frames

Stainless Steel Plate & Frame Filter Press

Compare plate-and-frame equipment where the filter medium, cake washing or access for cleaning is important. Suitability depends on the process and media selection.

Check: Confirm filtration media, chamber depth and cleaning access.

stainless steel coated filter press

Protective frame covering

Stainless Steel Clad Filter Press

A clad structure covers selected frame surfaces with stainless steel. The cladding is separate from the specification of plates, seals and wetted components.

Check: Identify the covered surfaces and materials of all wetted parts.

gasketed cgr filter press

Gasketed plate sealing

Gasketed CGR Filter Press

Uses a caulked, gasketed, recessed plate arrangement to help control leakage in compatible service. Seals do not by themselves establish suitability for hazardous solvents.

Check: Review seal compatibility, operating conditions and containment needs.

Cast Iron Filter Press

Metal plate configurations

Cast Iron Filter Press

Evaluate metal filter plates where the process and equipment ratings support their use. Allowable temperature depends on the complete assembly, including seals and cloth.

Check: Confirm corrosion compatibility and rated temperature of every component.

04 / Layout & mobility

Plant Layout & Mobile Systems

A different installation arrangement can be useful without changing the basic need to verify filtration performance. Check handling, utility connections and maintenance space as part of selection.

mobile filter press

Transportable system arrangements

Mobile Filter Press

Consider a skid-mounted or other transportable package for temporary or changing sites. Included pumps, tanks, controls and transport arrangements depend on the proposed system.

Check: Confirm lifting points, transport limits and site utility connections.

Vertical Filter Press

Specialized process layout

Vertical Filter Press

Evaluate the specific plate-stack and cloth-handling arrangement where cake washing, installation footprint or process requirements make it appropriate.

Check: Review installation height, washing duty, access and commissioning support.

05 / Laboratory & manual

Laboratory & Intermittent Filtration

Small-scale equipment can support testing or limited production, but the test method and operating conditions must reflect the intended duty.

laboratory filter press

Small-scale process evaluation

Laboratory Filter Press

Evaluate slurry filtration, filter media and cake formation at a smaller scale. Representative test results can inform production equipment selection with appropriate scale-up checks.

Check: Confirm sample size, test pressure and how results will be interpreted.

Manual Jack Filter Press

Manual plate closing

Manual Jack Filter Press

Consider manual-closing equipment for intermittent or smaller duties. Manual closing does not mean the entire system is power-free; the feed pump and accessories have their own requirements.

Check: Confirm closing method, operator workload and feed-pump requirements.

Narrow Down the Configuration

Use the following starting points to prepare a discussion. Final selection requires the material properties, production requirement and suitable performance evidence.

Your priorityA starting pointWhat to confirm
Conventional cake filtrationRecessed chamberCompare chamber volume, filter media and the complete operating cycle.
Additional cake compressionMembraneCheck whether tests show a useful benefit from squeezing, and confirm the plate and pressure ratings.
A pressure-sensitive dutyHigh-pressure configurationEvaluate the material response and the ratings of the plates, frame, pump and accessories together.
Less manual cake handlingQuick opening / vibratingReview non-filtration time and discharge behavior; automation does not make the filtration cycle continuous.
Testing before scale-upLaboratoryUse a representative sample and account for differences between the test and the production duty.

Cake solids, cycle time and cost cannot be ranked by machine name alone. Compare results under stated feed conditions and an agreed test method.

What to Compare in a Quotation

Check the complete scope of supply, rather than comparing filter area or machine price on its own.

Process & performance

Material and feed conditions; throughput and units; target cake condition; filtration or pilot-test basis.

Equipment & utilities

Filter area and chamber volume; pressure ratings; wetted materials; filter cloth; pump; electrical and other utilities.

Delivery & support

Included accessories; inspection and acceptance; packing; delivery terms; installation responsibilities; spare parts and support.

Questions Before You Select a Product

How do I choose between chamber and membrane presses?

Start with representative slurry data and the required cake condition. Compare a chamber configuration with the added squeezing stage, equipment requirements and operating costs of a membrane design.

Does a larger filtration area always mean more throughput?

No. Production also depends on chamber volume, cake properties, filtration rate and the complete cycle, including filling, squeezing, washing and discharge where applicable.

Can I select a machine using particle size or pH alone?

No. Material selection and performance depend on several conditions together, including chemistry, concentration, temperature, particle behavior, filter media and operating pressure.

What affects price and delivery time?

The model, filter area, materials, automation, accessories, inspection requirements and delivery destination all affect the proposal. Confirm the current quotation and production schedule for your specified configuration.

Tell Us About Your Filtration Duty

Determine Required Processing Capacity

Send the slurry or material name, required throughput and units, project location and target cake condition. If some values are unknown, describe the process problem you want to solve.

You can also tell us which products you are comparing. The appropriate configuration, included equipment and delivery terms can then be discussed.
